Over de afgelopen jaren en vooral het afgelopen jaar als mentor, ben ik tot het inzicht gekomen dat winstgevend traden zelden wordt bepaald door het technische aspect. De grootste doorbraken ontstaan wanneer die vaardigheden samenkomen zelfkennis door zelfreflectie, objectiviteit, geduld en discipline.
Dit is daarom ook geen verzameling marktanalyses of voorspellingen, maar een bundeling van inzichten die zijn ontstaan uit duizenden uren achter de grafieken en honderden uren begeleiding van traders.
In deze artikelen deel ik de lessen die mij en mijn studenten hebben geholpen om verder te kijken dan de grafieken. Niet omdat ik alle antwoorden heb, maar omdat de markt mij iedere dag opnieuw iets leert.
Ik hoop dat deze inzichten je niet alleen helpen om een betere trader te worden, maar ook om anders naar uitdagingen, groei en besluitvorming te kijken. Want uiteindelijk is traden veel meer dan het najagen van winst. Het is een voortdurende oefening in het beheersen van jezelf.
Voor mij is traden het ultieme voertuig voor persoonlijke groei. De markt laat niet alleen je sterke kanten zien, maar legt ook feilloos je zwakke punten bloot, daagt je overtuigingen uit en nodigt je iedere dag opnieuw uit om een betere versie van jezelf te worden.
